This website documents stories about the Gorey, Wassenberg, Burgdorf and Evans families in Australia.

I'm Michael Gorey, I live at Ballarat and I was born in 1967. On my father's side, all of my great-great grandparents were early Victorian settlers: the Gorey family in 1841 from Ireland, Evans/Hardwick in 1849 from Wales/England, and Burgdorf/Springer (Germany) and Sutherland/Ferguson (Scotland) in the early 1850s during the Gold Rush. My mother was Dutch, from Limburg, and she came to Victoria in 1954.

Records here come from Australia, Ireland, Scotland, Netherlands, Germany, and other countries. The trees contain over 1,700 people spanning multiple generations.
