Welcome to this website, which is dedicated to Gorey, Wassenberg and Burgdorf genealogy in Australia. Contributions are welcome. James and Elizabeth Gorey arrived in Melbourne from County Kilkenny, Ireland, on October 1, 1841 aboard the Middlesex. They were Victorian pioneers.

The Wassenberg family tree can be traced back to the 17th century. Members arrived in Australia from the Netherlands after the Second World War. Updates and amendments to any information contained here will be appreciated.The photo shows Gorey children at the Angustown School in the 1890s.
